I use a combination of techniques to get to the real questions and issues you want to address. This allows you to gain insight on patterns of thinking and behaviours and find the best solutions. I believe in goal-orientated processes and that to excel we need to be striving towards something, pushing our boundaries. We need to be clear our values are aligned with our personal purpose and goals.The tools I use have the power to provide you with the most transformation in the shortest amount of time. And it’s fun! I use NLP, Timeline Therapy and Hypnotherapy, to literally help you ‘rewire,’ get rid of limiting beliefs, and set up new thought patterns that support your success.
The process is simple; first I offer a free half hour discussion so we talk through what you are looking for in a Coach and/or Mentor. When you decide if my approach suits you I can estimate how much time will be required, usually around six sessions. I will then guide you to the breakthroughs you seek.
What techniques do you use?
I use a variety of techniques to get you the results you want, typically a combination of NLP, Timeline Therapy and Hypnosis. I also teach meditation and breathing techniques. What is NLP?

NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is the science of studying and modelling the art of success. It is about finding out how your mind ticks, what makes you, you. How to set a goal and achieve it. Find your passion. Consistently achieve the results you want. You can learn to easily change patterns and behaviours in your life which may be holding you back.
Have you ever had a time when everything was perfect and you were in “the zone”. Whether it was at work, in sport, or when out with friends and family. That feeling you get when you know that you cannot fail, you are unstoppable. Using NLP techniques we will teach you to get into that flow-state again and again so you can excel at whatever it is you want to do. Whether it’s about goal setting or getting rid of a phobia or habit you no longer want, NLP is all about using your brain in the way it was meant to be used.
Neuro: our nervous system, through which we gather and process information, received through 5 senses, visual information coming in through our eyes; auditory information coming in through our hearing; kinesthetic information through the sense of touch; olfactory through smell and gustatory information through taste. This is how we gather information from the universe around us, when we’ve taken that information inside that’s where the linguistic comes in:
Linguistic: here we are talking about language – but also not just the words, also other non-verbal systems of communications, through which we code our Internal Representations: give them order and meaning. We can only do 6 things inside – we can see pictures, hear sounds, feel feelings, we can smell smells, taste tastes, and also we can talk to ourselves. Let’ so a teat for a moment – stop everything and go inside now. Notice what you are are doing on the inside: my guess is you are doing one or more of those 6 things.
Programming; we are talking about the patterns, programmes and strategies that we use to create all of our behaviours that we run in our neurology at the unconscious level that enable us to achieve our specific and desired outcomes. So if we take all of that together then NLP is how to achieve the mind’s own language to consistently achieve our specific and desired outcomes.
Created by Dr Tad James, Time Line Therapy® techniques also allow you to release limiting decisions, such as “I’m not good enough,” “I’ll never be rich,” or “I cant get the job I want because…..” or “It’s impossible to find the right partner….” These are limitations that hinder you to move forward toward your goals and the results you want in your life.
I use Timeline Therapy® techniques to allow you to free yourself from negative emotions such as anger, fear, sadness, anxiety and worry, and to release limiting beliefs, emotions which were attached to memories from the past. It’s like going on your very own space walk along your timeline in the past and into the future using your active imagination. We can achieve long-lasting transformation very quickly and easily to make fast, effective, long-term changes in behaviour.

Hypnosis can be very effective in creating change in various behaviours, using the power of suggestion to change habits, emotions or limiting beliefs. It is a safe and very relaxed way to take you into a hypnotic state, light, medium or deep, to establish a connection with your unconscious mind in order to create and suggest new outcomes for you. The state of hypnosis accesses the subconscious mind which is where deep and rapid change takes place, allowing you to bypass the critical analysis of the conscious mind.

I use hypnotherapy in conjunction with other techniques. Trance is used for example to help establish new patterns and reinforce new behaviours. What is it in yourself you’d most like to change? Habits could include stopping smoking, overeating, procrastination, nail biting and other habits. Emotions can include fears, phobias, sadness, depression, anger, shyness, anxiety – and building up your talents like confidence, developing skills such as presenting, improving memory and creative talents Physical complaints might be pain, allergies, insomnia, itching or fatigue or those that lead to serious illness like getting stressed out, leading to dis-ease in the body. Hypnosis can be effective with all of these. …
I also teach you self hypnosis as a tool for you to use at home; imagine being able to use self hypnosis simply to create a focussed mind when you need it, or as a way to relax and take a moment for yourself, or as part of helping you improve your sleep .
Typically each session will last 2 hours however it always depends on what we are working on. It may be that we only need to see each other once, or we might agree to spend more time, typically up to six sessions.
I work from my clinic in Auckland, it is private and quiet, and there is plenty of parking. I also work online, typically using what’s App or Skype – as long as we can see each other for the session. I have clients in different countries and this works effectively.
Yes. I use different techniques with my clients using NLP with excellent results, (similar to using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBTI). Other tools clients have found useful include hypnotherapy, practicing mindfulness, using apps I personally recommend such as white noise, and physical things like not having cell phones in the bedroom, using earplugs, a dark room or using an eye mask to get rid of the light, no coffee after noon, limiting alcohol, and more… Get in touch if this is an issue for you.
